Hi again friend,
It’s sure been a while! January turned into this strange whirlwind of life: setting up my art therapy business, writing my first paid newsletter, celebrating so many birthdays, and working on my poetry book. Before I knew it, two weeks had passed since our last love letter—much longer than I’d like!
And yet, I’m fine with it. Because I’m writing in so many other ways: I put out a palace ancestors newsletter every two weeks, and will be going back to writing four blog posts a month, distributed across this blog and my art therapy website’s blog. I’m also working on my poetry book (mentioned above) and multiple novels.

Really, I’d like to streamline as much as possible, hence splitting blog posts between my two websites. But I do truly love writing these little love letters, too. There’s just too much I want to do!
And so I’ll continue to write these little love notes, though perhaps not as often as I thought I would in the beginning. And that’s okay—I’m doing a lot!
Anyway. January was a lot of back end work on my business, but I’m excited to announce that I’m officially able to take clients! Such an exciting time—I’ve been working toward this for so long now, it feels so strange to be able to say I’m open for business.

I also spent a good chunk of today cleaning out the garage. I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I’m going to buy a kiln, but that takes space, and space is one thing we don’t have—not yet, at least. Today’s session means I’m that much closer to being able to make pottery at home. So exciting.
I’m going to sign off for today—I still have a little work to do before logging out for the weekend.
I hope you’re warm, comfy, and have an excellent rest of your day.
Stay cozy,
Catherine
P.S. what are you most looking forward to in February?
More love letters for you
Thank you for reading this little love letter today. If you like this and want to see longer, more in-depth letters, consider subscribing to my newsletter, palace ancestors. The private newsletter (for paying subscribers) goes even deeper, including dreams I’ve had, bits from my physical, paper journal, and the behind the scenes of my life I don’t show anywhere else.
