Hi again friend,

I hope you’ve been enjoying your day so far. Aside from shoveling the driveway early this morning, most of what I’ve done is work. But that’s okay! Because starting tomorrow, I have a long (birthday!) weekend full of.. almost nothing.

Which I am so excited about! I wrote about this on instagram earlier, but I feel like the past six months have been nothing but non-stop things. Even the holidays we’re overly busy, with little time to relax.

That’s why I’m so excited for this weekend. After posting this little love letter to you, my phone is going off, and will stay off until Monday morning. I won’t be checking emails, or looking at social media, or doing any sort of work whatsoever.

What I will be doing:

  • Reading
  • Working on my novel
  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Going through some old clothes

Anything else I do will be unplanned and offline, and I cannot put into words just how excited I am about this.

In other news: I haven’t spent any time working on my novel, but I did finish three knitting projects I’d been putting off forever. I also hung some art in my office, That I had also been putting off. Notice a theme? I sure do, but that’s a story for another time.

Time for me to sign off for the next few days. I hope that, whatever you do this weekend, is filled with joy.

Stay cozy,

Catherine

P.S. how do you like to celebrate your birthday?
