Hi again friend,
I hope your day is going well so far. I’ve worked up until now, and have a short meeting coming up soon. But it’s Friday, so after that I’m going to wind down: do some knitting, read a book. I just got a few from the library, and need to decide which one to read.
Tonight I’m going to a friend’s house for a housewarming party—they’ve just moved. The only problem is, it’s -11 (and feels like -20) and so my desire to change out of flannel pajamas and actually leave the house is minimal.

I’ve been keeping busy with work this week, but took yesterday evening off to just exist; no filling in the minutes with tasks around the house. Instead, I sat and worked on one of my knitting projects while watching Midsomer Murders (one of my favorite TV shows ever).
While watching, I finished one of my knitting projects—a pair of slippers—and now just have two pairs of mittens to finish up. I’ve also started on a toque using the pink yarn I showed you a week or so ago, and have promised my niece her own pair of slippers.

As for writing: I released my revamped palace ancestors post earlier today, and already wrote my second, paid newsletter for January. I’m also just over 4,700 words on my novel, and will be working on it later today as well. I’m always surprised at how easily the words come—how quickly I can fill a page.
Time for my meeting. Wishing you a good rest of your day!
Stay cozy,
Catherine
P.S. how cold is it today where you live?
