Hi again friend,
Winter is finally here! Sort of. Yesterday we had a bit of snow, followed by a wind storm all night and all day today. It’s just about 4 p.m. now, and the wind has since gone on its way.
These past two days have been a whole lot of work again (all fun things I enjoy doing!), but I’m happy to say I got some time to write last night. I haven’t mentioned it here, but I’m making some changes to Palace Ancestors.
Since I’m now writing these little notes to you every few days, I’ve restructured my newsletter so that it comes out twice a month. The first newsletter will come mid-way through and will be public, while the second newsletter, which will arrive at the end of the month, will be private—available to read if you pay a small fee to subscribe.
I’ve gone back and forth on monetizing my work. I love writing simply for the act of it and for the joy it brings me, but the reality is that I have bills to pay, too! Even if just a few people opt for the paid newsletter, that helps me keep doing what I love. (But I also appreciate every single person who reads, comments, and shares, even if they don’t subscribe to the paid newsletter!)
In other news: I’ve been reading Sylvia Plath’s unabridged journals and am having such a fun time. Her writing style is everything to me—so to the point and yet so poetic!
I’ll leave you here for today. The sun is going down, and it’s time to make dinner. I hope you have a restful evening!
Stay cozy,
Catherine
P.S. what are you reading today?
More love letters for you
Thank you for reading this little love letter today. If you like this and want to see longer, more in-depth letters, consider subscribing to my newsletter, palace ancestors. The private newsletter (for paying subscribers) goes even deeper, including dreams I’ve had, bits from my physical, paper journal, and the behind the scenes of my life I don’t show anywhere else.
