no. 5: december 29, 2023

Hi again friend,

It’s been a busy 24 hours since we last spoke! After I posted yesterday, I drove to the Chapters one town over (it’s much better than the one in my town). I ended up buying two books—a book on seances, and a book on connecting with ancestors. After I got home, I worked for a while and then read long into the evening.

Today I woke up early and went to a coffee shop to hang out with a friend and get some writing done. I didn’t actually end up writing anything (oops), but I do plan to later this evening.

Another note on writing: last night, when I went to work on my novel, I remembered another book I’d started planning out a few months ago. I ended up spending some time going over my notes, adding new ones, and planning how to structure the book. Tonight, after I get some work done, I’m going to dive in.

While I was out this morning, I found myself at Michaels, where I bought some fuzzy pink yarn with red flecks. I’ve been wanting to knit a mohair hat, and since I’m having such a hard time finding mohair yarn in my town, this one will have to do.

Now, for the rest of the day: planning out blog posts and youtube videos for the new year. And once that’s done, I’m trying a new pasta recipe for dinner and sinking into a book to welcome the long weekend.
