The poems found in Get Well Soon are the thoughts you have when night burns toward dawn, their syllables sending out tendrils of recognition we’d all like to pretend we don’t feel. Above all else, Get Well Soon is a reminder that we delay death through living—through breathing, and shrieking, and finding ourselves in our dreams.
